Lastest BIG words he said...

Jo2 is learning single word (vocab) in school now, he can recognize and spell out some words with no fail (for example: cow, no, mouse, duck...) and mixed up with some words (like: toy, boy, cat, car, wall, small). Yesterday, he surprised me with new words when he said:

case 1

Jo2: mommy, I want to eat peanuts.
me: is 2 enough for you?
Jo2:It's "DEFINALY" (definitely) not enough for me."

case 2:
Jo2: mommy, jiejie always "SIMPLI" (simply) say me, I don't like her.
(Pointing at his jiejie ) You don't simpli say say people-ah!

So, at the end of the day I checked on his scrapbook and I can't find these 2 words and I have no clue at all where he learn these words.

3 Days 2 Nite @ Bali

Papa2jojo is posting in Denpasar, Bali for a week, so I decided to bring the kids to join him there.

It was a last minute decision, so it's kind of unplanned trip.

Our stay @ Ramada Bintang Bali Hotel was beyond my expectation. My kids even prefer to stay in the hotel rather than going out. They loved to watch TV in this cozy room...

They enjoyed feeding the fishes in the pond after their breakfast. According to Jo2, his tummy is full but the fishes are hungry, so he needed to feed them with lots of bread.

They enjoyed swimming in the pool.

while I like the hotel surroundings with tropical garden, beachfront view, convenient location, and also the friendliness of the ppl there.

Ferrari model car

Papa2jojo has to pump petrol @ Shell juz to get all these collection of Ferrari model car with engine sounds. So far, we got 6 out of 7, b'coz we only get to buy a car @ RM5.90 for every RM40 we spent on petrol. We only manage to get 2 cars during each visit, and Jo2 actually counted and waiting for papa2jojo to buy him the 7th car. In fact, he is going to get it soon since papa2jojo car tank is almost empty. I didn't get any model car for him b'coz I am royal to my regular petrol kiosk that is close by to Jo2's school.

Jo1 first masterpiece

Jo1 started her drawing class recently. She has been asking me to send her to drawing class since last year but I never take it seriously and I don't want her to be over scheduled. I let her started her drawing class this month b'coz her mental arithmetic teacher has to stop all the classes due to health problem which she needs to go back to her hometown to get treatment and rest for a long time.

So far, she has attended the class for 3 times, and the teacher commented that she needs more "patience" but I am satisfied with her first masterpiece. I mean she is still a beginner, patience is not something that can be change in overnight. I send her to you juz b'coz she likes to draw.

Even when she was admitted to hospital recently, she spent her free time drawing, and put up on the room's door. She did a few nice drawings, even Dr. Sim teased whether those drawings are up for auction. I noticed that all the doc, nurses, cleaner, and some visitors actually stopped to look at it when they passed by.

Hospitalised

Note: see how my cheeky son pose...

The school term holiday is going to end soon. Others have 1 week of holiday while my kids have 2 weeks of holiday. Both of them were sick and hospitalised; Jo1 had viral fever and Jo2 had acute bronchitis. Both of them were recovered and discharged after staying at hospital for 5 days with 1 lodger(me) taking care of them at night time, that's how my kids and I spent our 2008 first term school's holiday.
Normally, I can handle whenever my kids are sick but this round is different. Jo1 was down with high fever on Sunday, she slept through for hours and still very tired. I fed her with PCM every 4 hourly, and she scared me when I tried to wake her up for medicine and she was unconscious no matter how. I kept calling her name, shake her body and I was panic don't know what to do except tears dropped from my eyes. All the while, I thought I was brave and tough, I can handle everything even when papa2jojo is not around. Since papa2jojo is at work, I called to inform him and my mother to ask for help. At the end, I rushed them to Dr.Sim's new clinic @Srigim Medical Centre. I felt so relieved when my mother went to hospital to take care of Jo2 and papa2jojo also came later.
My mother helped me to take care of Jo2 for a night, and she called me the next day that Jo2 got cough and can't sleep for the whole night. So, I got no choice but asked her to bring Jo2 to the clinic for treatment also. That's how I ended up having 2 kids in the same hospital.

When Jo1 is no around

This happened on a beautiful Sunday morning 2 weeks ago where Jo1 needs to go for extra tuition lesson since she will be sitting for her 1st school's term exam soon.
While having fun playing outside, Jo2 said: "mommy, take photo-la." So, I ended up snap snap snap a few of them. I think the kids also noticed that mommy is "a bit lazy" to take their photos recently.

mommy: nvm, later u can take a nap after school, ok.
Jo2: ok. (but look sad and walked away.....)

Case 3:

mommy: say good morning to teacher
Jo2: (keep silent)
Teacher: say "bye-bye" to yr mommy
Jo2: (keep silent)
Jo2: mommy, I go to school, u cannot see me, then u will miss ME!

Primary school

Jo1's primary school's life began on 3 Jan, 2008. Prior to that, she went for an orientation which was held on 26 Dec '07, we had speeches from the headmistress, buying books, paying misc. fees, "wondering" around the school, getting to know the teachers and friends.

Her classroom on the 2nd floor.
She goes for computer class & music class in this building.

What's Jo1's commnents about her school : HOT & TIRED
See, u can tell by looking at her face.

What's mommy comments about her school : DIRTY & SMELLY TOILET
Yes, we both need to accept and get adapted. Kindi lasts for 3 hours, and primary school lasts for 6 hours which is double the time. Also, I asked her to take shower 3 times a day since afternoon class is sure hotter than morning class.

Ku-Ku bird

This is what happened yesterday....
Early in the morning, Jo1 woke up and straight to the toilet to wee and Jo2 rushed to me and told me that jie-jie's ku-ku bird is lost. "HIS" ku-ku bird is in the toilet bowl, so "cannot find-lo."

At night, my boy spoke his first sentence in mandarin to me (after 4 days of learning Chinese @ nursery), and it's all about ku-ku bird again.
Jo2: mommy, "wo de peng you you ku-ku bird......." (My friend has penis)
Mommy: Only boy has ku-ku bird, ok.
Jo2: Jie-jie no ku-ku bird. Lost in the toilet bowl oredi.
Mommy: No, jie-jie is a girl, so she doesn't have ku-ku bird.
Jo2: How about u, u have ku-ku bird?
Mommy: Mommy is a boy or girl?
Jo2: Girl. So daddy has ku-ku bird, he is a boy.
Mommy: ya-ya, that's right.

Father's 65th B'day

Kid's laptop

Both Jo1 & Jo2 have their own children's laptop as their b'day present. Jo1 has a red & white with mouse while Jo2 is in orange and green w/o mouse.
One day, while I was checking my e-mail, Jo2 came and unpluged my mouse, he told me that his "computer" needed a mouse. So, I got no choice but to give him an old mouse from the drawer. He walked away happily with the mouse and tide the wire around his computer. Later, he came to me again.......this round he asked me why his computer cannot go here b'coz he wanted to see Clifford, the big red dog.........
Guess what's next???? He came to me again and told me that he doesn't like colorful computer, he likes black color one juz like mommy one.

Dry by night

Mommy is glad to announce that Jo2 is officially dry by night on Monday 10/12/07. It happened fews weeks ago where I have to woke up 2-3 times in the middle of the nite to change pyjamas again for my little boy who sleep beside me. He wet the bed and himself b'coz he simply took out his diapers after I felt asleep.
Later, followed by nights where he refused to wear diapers b4 bedtime, so mommy and daddy had to take turns to check on him whether he wanted to wee wee....
Finally, my boy decided that he doesn't want to wear diapers like a "BABY" juz 3 days after mommy went to buy 2 packs of diapers which consists of 50 pcs each. Those diapers will be useful for the next time when we go out so that I don't have to rush him to the public toilets.

Happy 6th B'day to Jo1

This is a back dated post.

Jo1 celebrated her 6th b'day 5 days earlier than her actual birth date coz my mother will be away for a 5-day trip to Hanoi, Vietnam.

Her initial plan for this year's b'day is:

  1. Invite her classmates to our house, juz play games only & b'day cake only.

  2. Buy a Barbie doll.

  3. Dinner @ Japanese restaurant.

  4. Karaoke

But, mommy juz gave her a in-house family b'day treats. Brought her to Parkson to choose for Barbie doll, she ended picked a telescope and told me that she wanted to use it to see stars and planets.

School Annual Concert 2007

I will follow you (by N1- 3yrs old children) - kids call it DIGI

The school annual concert was held on 18 Nov @ Komtar Auditorium A. We reached there @ 4:20pm and headed towards the backstage and leave them with their teachers at the waiting room. The concert began with a welcome speech from the principal, followed by speech from the representative of the graduates by Wong Jer Han in English, and Evelyn Looi in Mandarin. Jo2 was supposed to perform, but at last minute, Jo2 decided to withdraw. He was uncomfortable with the yellow "flower" mask, he insisted to stand beside teacher and not to move his butt & dance.
All the graduates in line after they received their scroll from the principals, and sing the theme song "The Moon represents my heart." (月亮代表我的心). Later, parents of the graduates were invited to go up to the stage to received their token of appreciation from their child where the children handed over their Pre-school education certificate in a brown envelope to their parents.

Doremon by N2 (aged 4)

Jo1's first performance - Bollywood express.

Darren (sis#2's son) performing in Balqis dance by K1 students (5 yrs old)

Jo1's 2nd dance - Lotus dance
Grand finale - where my Jo2 finally warmed up and enjoyed himself to sing the theme song and later dance "I WILL FOLLOW YOU." They really have fun and dance like DISCO KAKI.
Concert started @ 5pm sharp and ended @ 6:45pm
We left for dinner with my parents, BIL#2, Sis#2 + kids after the concert. We had a real express one, and reached home about 7:45pm coz everyone was really tired and the kids still need to bathe and remove the make up.

He likes to say......

Recently, this is what Jo2 likes to say after he say "thank you" or "sorry."

Give him something, he will say:
"THANK YOU, mommy hamburger..........." or " THANK YOU, jiejie hotdog bun..........." or
"THANK YOU, kongkong sushi..........." or "THANK YOU, A-mah pancake..........."

same thing when he apologise, he will say the word sorry followed by the name of food or things that came across his mind. Last nite, we had "Sorry, jiejie ambulance...." aiyooyoo this boy really make my head big.

Words mixed up

Case 1: McDonald's vs Old MacDonald

Everyday, we will passed by Mc'D in GreenLane on the way to Jo2's school. He will start to sing :" Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I -O........" At first, I thought he juz feel like to sing until I noticed that he actually pointing at the restaurant and sing the old MacDonald song (repeatably). Slap my head, I was slow to realise this.

Case 2: Oh! Men vs Old man

Whenever Jo1 makes something that he think it's a big deal, he would slap his forehead and say:"Oh! Men." and Jo1 would say:'what, old man, u -la look like old man, that's why teacher call u UNCLE Joshua."

Case 3: tummy ache vs tummy egg

Every time I tried to stop him from eating the junk food I would lie to my kids that those food can cause tummy ache. One day, Jo2 showed me his big tummy(after dinner) and told me that he has tummy ache. At first, I thought he was overfed. But, he told me that there are 3 eggs inside his tummy, then only I realise that he mistaken the word "ache" as "egg"

Ballet pre-examination week

2 weeks from now, Jo1 is going to have her pre-primary ballet exam and parents are invited to watch their children's progress inside the studio during their practise. 4 person in a group, but Lay Ying was late for the practise on Sunday so left only Jo1, YiWen & Ritrisha. I also forgot to bring along my camera to take video of the whole session. So, I got no choice but to use my mobile phone, better than nothing right......

  1. Introduction - skipping
  2. Sailing the boat
  3. Point front & close
  4. Rocking baby

Session ends @ 11:55am, and her ballet instructor also gave us some briefing about the exam on what they should and shouldn't do. They have to come 1 hr earlier on that day and also hair must glue up (put gel) and no baby hair (loose) for Jo1's case.
