Father's 65th B'day

Kid's laptop

Both Jo1 & Jo2 have their own children's laptop as their b'day present. Jo1 has a red & white with mouse while Jo2 is in orange and green w/o mouse.
One day, while I was checking my e-mail, Jo2 came and unpluged my mouse, he told me that his "computer" needed a mouse. So, I got no choice but to give him an old mouse from the drawer. He walked away happily with the mouse and tide the wire around his computer. Later, he came to me again.......this round he asked me why his computer cannot go here b'coz he wanted to see Clifford, the big red dog.........
Guess what's next???? He came to me again and told me that he doesn't like colorful computer, he likes black color one juz like mommy one.

Dry by night

Mommy is glad to announce that Jo2 is officially dry by night on Monday 10/12/07. It happened fews weeks ago where I have to woke up 2-3 times in the middle of the nite to change pyjamas again for my little boy who sleep beside me. He wet the bed and himself b'coz he simply took out his diapers after I felt asleep.
Later, followed by nights where he refused to wear diapers b4 bedtime, so mommy and daddy had to take turns to check on him whether he wanted to wee wee....
Finally, my boy decided that he doesn't want to wear diapers like a "BABY" juz 3 days after mommy went to buy 2 packs of diapers which consists of 50 pcs each. Those diapers will be useful for the next time when we go out so that I don't have to rush him to the public toilets.

Happy 6th B'day to Jo1

This is a back dated post.

Jo1 celebrated her 6th b'day 5 days earlier than her actual birth date coz my mother will be away for a 5-day trip to Hanoi, Vietnam.

Her initial plan for this year's b'day is:

  1. Invite her classmates to our house, juz play games only & b'day cake only.

  2. Buy a Barbie doll.

  3. Dinner @ Japanese restaurant.

  4. Karaoke

But, mommy juz gave her a in-house family b'day treats. Brought her to Parkson to choose for Barbie doll, she ended picked a telescope and told me that she wanted to use it to see stars and planets.

School Annual Concert 2007

I will follow you (by N1- 3yrs old children) - kids call it DIGI

The school annual concert was held on 18 Nov @ Komtar Auditorium A. We reached there @ 4:20pm and headed towards the backstage and leave them with their teachers at the waiting room. The concert began with a welcome speech from the principal, followed by speech from the representative of the graduates by Wong Jer Han in English, and Evelyn Looi in Mandarin. Jo2 was supposed to perform, but at last minute, Jo2 decided to withdraw. He was uncomfortable with the yellow "flower" mask, he insisted to stand beside teacher and not to move his butt & dance.
All the graduates in line after they received their scroll from the principals, and sing the theme song "The Moon represents my heart." (月亮代表我的心). Later, parents of the graduates were invited to go up to the stage to received their token of appreciation from their child where the children handed over their Pre-school education certificate in a brown envelope to their parents.

Doremon by N2 (aged 4)

Jo1's first performance - Bollywood express.

Darren (sis#2's son) performing in Balqis dance by K1 students (5 yrs old)

Jo1's 2nd dance - Lotus dance
Grand finale - where my Jo2 finally warmed up and enjoyed himself to sing the theme song and later dance "I WILL FOLLOW YOU." They really have fun and dance like DISCO KAKI.
Concert started @ 5pm sharp and ended @ 6:45pm
We left for dinner with my parents, BIL#2, Sis#2 + kids after the concert. We had a real express one, and reached home about 7:45pm coz everyone was really tired and the kids still need to bathe and remove the make up.

He likes to say......

Recently, this is what Jo2 likes to say after he say "thank you" or "sorry."

Give him something, he will say:
"THANK YOU, mommy hamburger..........." or " THANK YOU, jiejie hotdog bun..........." or
"THANK YOU, kongkong sushi..........." or "THANK YOU, A-mah pancake..........."

same thing when he apologise, he will say the word sorry followed by the name of food or things that came across his mind. Last nite, we had "Sorry, jiejie ambulance...." aiyooyoo this boy really make my head big.

Words mixed up

Case 1: McDonald's vs Old MacDonald

Everyday, we will passed by Mc'D in GreenLane on the way to Jo2's school. He will start to sing :" Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I -O........" At first, I thought he juz feel like to sing until I noticed that he actually pointing at the restaurant and sing the old MacDonald song (repeatably). Slap my head, I was slow to realise this.

Case 2: Oh! Men vs Old man

Whenever Jo1 makes something that he think it's a big deal, he would slap his forehead and say:"Oh! Men." and Jo1 would say:'what, old man, u -la look like old man, that's why teacher call u UNCLE Joshua."

Case 3: tummy ache vs tummy egg

Every time I tried to stop him from eating the junk food I would lie to my kids that those food can cause tummy ache. One day, Jo2 showed me his big tummy(after dinner) and told me that he has tummy ache. At first, I thought he was overfed. But, he told me that there are 3 eggs inside his tummy, then only I realise that he mistaken the word "ache" as "egg"

Ballet pre-examination week

2 weeks from now, Jo1 is going to have her pre-primary ballet exam and parents are invited to watch their children's progress inside the studio during their practise. 4 person in a group, but Lay Ying was late for the practise on Sunday so left only Jo1, YiWen & Ritrisha. I also forgot to bring along my camera to take video of the whole session. So, I got no choice but to use my mobile phone, better than nothing right......

  1. Introduction - skipping
  2. Sailing the boat
  3. Point front & close
  4. Rocking baby

Session ends @ 11:55am, and her ballet instructor also gave us some briefing about the exam on what they should and shouldn't do. They have to come 1 hr earlier on that day and also hair must glue up (put gel) and no baby hair (loose) for Jo1's case.

My favourite song from Jo2

There are a few songs that teacher taught Jo2, and he will sing it out when he is in good mood but not upon request. Amongst all I love this song, here's how it goes:

Mommy, mommy I love u,
You know that I really do;
I know that u love me too,
that's why I sing for u.........

Haha, this song is simple and short but it means a lot and it touches everyone's heart whenever he sing it b'coz he will change the mommy part to anyone like "daddy or kong-kong or jie-jie or even kakak(maid)" so I bet I am not the only one that like this song.

Birthday @ school

Note: TQ Mrs. Ang for taking these photos for us.

Mommy decided to let Jo2 celebrate yr b'day @ school so that he can have all his classmates sing b'day song for him. Jo2 was a bit shy and he closed his eyes when everyone sang the b'day song for him. But, he really had a great time when he cut the cakes and gave away party bags to his friends.

Happy Birthday, Joshua........with lots of love from Daddy, mommy and Jolene jie jie.

I have 2 ballerinas @ home

Jo1 is sitting for her Ballet exam on 3 Nov. On top of the normal lesson she has on every Sat, now she has to go for extra lessons on Sun, and the fees is only 70% of the fees we paid every month. Besides, we have to buy a CD for her to practise @ home. Ms. Chin, her Ballet instructor only give a "star" shape sticker to those who did practise to dance @ home. So, Jo1 has to practise and write down the date and time and show it to her instructor in order for her to get the stick. Now, whenever Jo1 practise to dance, Jo2 follow her footsteps too, and I really have fun seeing both of them dance.

Happy Mooncake Festival

This is a back dated post.
We celebrated this year Mid Autumn @ PSC again. My sis#3 and parents joined us too.

Mommy vs Jo1

Mommy's kindergarten's photo taken back in.........outdoor.

Similarity: both of us didn't smile.

Group photos

Can figure out where is my Jo2??? He is standing beside Teacher Somsai, second one from the left in the centre row (he looks fair). Actually, the day after they took the photos, he told me that Teacher Somsai carry me, b'coz she "sayang" me, and Pei Ying (pretty girl) stands beside me!! And to my surperise, he actually can tell all his friends name when papa2jojo asked him last nite!!!

Jo1 is sitting in the front row, the 4th from right. Mommy likes her smile...

Photos are ready

My little graduates passport size photo.

The quality of these photos are not good since I only have hard copy and I have to use my camera to shoot the photos.

Jolene is mommy's girl

Joshua is mommy's boy

We are all set for photo session

Friday 21 Sept is the photo shooting day for both Jo1 & Jo2 @ school. Jo1 is taking her graduation photos so I need to apply light make up on her. She loves to put make up very much that's why she didn't complaint at all when I woke her up early in the morning.
When I dropped them to school, they greeted to the teachers, both of them walked together happily into the school. That moment... ...I recalled: time really flies, it was like juz a blink of eyes, my tiny little premature baby girl (Jo1) has grown up a pretty girl now, and may be 10 years later she's no longer mommy's girl, she has her own circle of friends.......who knows.......sooner or later she might tell me that she wants to get married @ the age of 18 (crazy me!!!)
While driving to work, I told myself that spending time with my kids is the most precious moment for me, coz they bring happiness to me more than anyone else. (although they make angry sometimes) Bonding between mommy and baby is very important until they turned 12 years old (a least), b'coz I noticed that all the children's murder case, child abuse, kidnapped only happened to children whose has irresponsible parents, who don't bother much about their children. Leave their children to the grandparents / baby sitter......bad things happen to the kids when they are undercare of their lousy parents.

Selfish vs Jellyfish

After dinner, Jo1 is not wiling to share her toys with Jo2, so I walked to her......
Me: Why u so selfish, u must share him yr toy now then only he will learn to share.
Jo2: (Pointing at Jo1) U like "jellyfish." U go sell fish-la.

This little boy really make me laugh.........
