Weired dream

I had a weired dream last night. I dreamt of me being very selfish decided to leave my family for other place where I can do whatever I like with no kids, no hubby, and no siblings.

I woke up this morning, the first thing I did was I asked papa2jojo what if my dream come true???
Papa2jojo: Aiyoo, why worry too much, this is not possible....
Me: Ya-lo, ya-lo, why should I do this, I am the person who can live on my own, moreover my 2 lovely kids.....

So, I wonder why I had this weired dream??? Is this a signal??
Actually, probably it's b'cos I always wanted to go travelling, but papa2jojo has a very busy schedule. Normally, our yearly FOC air ticket by the company is wasted, we seldom enjoy the benefit . So, I guess that's a hint.

Jo2 B'day Party

We had a home party yesterday, I invited around 40 guests (including some babies and toddlers). Jo2 enjoyed it very much as I saw him smile & laugh a lot, it's kind of fun to him when everyone is paying attention to him. I don't even have to bother about taking care of him, he was on his own, walking around the house. Wherever ho goes, sure someone will play with him, while I get the chance to chit chat with my friends and be the photographer at the same time.

I ordered 8 dishes, plus mum cook some yummy yummy food, and I made some sandwiches too.
Here's the lists:

  1. Fried chicken with prawn crackers
  2. Mini spring roll
  3. Fried eggs with crab meat
  4. Fried English fish fritters
  5. Freid Bee Hoon
  6. Fried cocktail sausage
  7. Crispy Sotong (Squid)
  8. Skewer fish ball

PLUS

  1. Lor Mee (Chinese style noodles with mushroom and oyster, the noodles is like Japanese Soba)
  2. Yam cake
  3. Huat Kuih (Nyonya kuih in pink color)
  4. Egg (cook with chinese herbs)
  5. Soya Jelly
  6. Tuna sandwich
  7. ICE CREAM

and also a PARTY BAG for all the kids...

The Party went on as planned except mummy forgot to let the kids wear the party hat, and also to take photos of small kids is really takes time......

Gems scam in Bangkok

On 2 June, my family went to Bangkok for a short trip.Upon arrival at the airport, we book a 1-day tour for the next day. After we check-in the Hotel, we decided to take a walk nearby. A few minutes later, we reached World Trade Centre, and a guy approached us told us that we should pay a visit to Lucky Buddha temple today b'coz it's only open once a month. He even find a tuk tuk driver for us. At the temple, we met another guy that claim that he work as a pilot for Thai Airlines (he stays in Phuket). He had conversation with papa2jojo for a while, later he told us that he just bought gems from a wholesale gems store @ a 20% discount off the wholesale price. He gave us the address of the place, we went there, bought some jewelry... ...it's called P. DIANA CUT.

On the next day, as planned we are on a day tour, we visited a few temples. Just for curiousity, we asked our so called private tour guide wonder she heard about "Yindee Lapidary Co. LTD" and she just hint us that don't buy gems that are not under govenment control (Royal).

The next day after we reached Penang, I searched through the Internet for gems scam, and conclude that I am one of the victim of gems scam. Later, papa2jojo took the jewelry set that we bought to our regular goldsmith shop and ask the value of the gems, he told us that the value of the gems worth almost the same of what we paid but the quality of the stones (diamond) and the gems is not "TOP grade."

To all ladies and gentleman out there, the purpose I blog about this is not to show off what / how many jewelry I own, but to give alert to others and don't fall on the same trap as I did.

Play with your child

I have assignment this week from the parenting workshop I attended last Sunday. The home activites for the week is "How to play with your child" and "Promoting your child's self esteem and encouraging cooperation." Parents should play with your child at least 10-15 mins everyday, keep track of the play periods on a record sheets to record the child's response and parent's reaction.

So, few days passed, and I just started yesterday. (Sunday is just 2 days away from today what). I read bedtime story for Jo1, while I gave Jo2 some toys to distract him from disturbing Jo1 and me. Jo1 enjoyed the story... ...I swear I had never read any bed time story for her since birth (this is the first time), I just can't fit in, that's not my style, I guess. Normally, I will let her do colouring or writing (not really writes, probably scratch) on her own or watching TV, it's freedom.

Jo2, hyaiiii.....don't know what to say, he is not attracted to any toy, I bet you, not a single one. At home, I have tons of toys, no kidding, some are new and some are from my niece and nephew (FYI, Jo2 has 10 Cheh cheh and kor kor. He is the 11th grandson to my parents) The only thing he likes to play with is remote control (any type....whether car, gate, tv etc) and mobile phone. But, never cheat him on fake one, only real Nokia handphone of papa and mummy, but not Cheh Cheh's (Jo1) barbie's type.

Ok, back to the PLAY....bare on mind - praise and encourage your child's ideas and creativity; never critisize. And reward is important too!!!

Marriage affair

Anything can happen, I mean to find out that partner having affairs with others is very common nowadays. Don't take me wrongly, papa2jojo is not having an affair with other girls.....it's actually my colleague.

It happened in the begining of this year, we suspect this when she is still pregnant and expecting her 2nd child.....she cried very often, and we suspect it when we saw her puffy eyes and face. We thought that she cried b'coz she is having insomnia and tired due to pregnancy....later, she has phone calls, mobile calls nonstop and we see tears on her eyes while she is on the phone. Her only reply when we asked: "Oh, it's something very personel." My colleague and her husband, both has a very high potential / chance of "tao sait" b'cos both are "lengh chai, lengh nui" (handsome guy and pretty girl) , yet they have very wide circle of friends.

Now, the baby is 2 months +, but the matter is still unsolved coz I still see her "puff puff" during office hours, and the phone is still ringing, and she is still whispering on the phone, and she can show up in the morning and disappear in the afternoon (take EMERGENCY leave what!!!). Great thing of all is that, she doesn't have to take care of her children so she has time for these... ...something extra in a marriage, and something beyond my control (just kei po)

The only thing I hope now is she can be more considerate, not only for her own sake, but also for the kids future.
The Q now is should these ppl given a 2nd chance if found cheating in their relationship???
My answer is: NO.

Remember the three R's:
Respect for self;
Respect for others;
Responsibility for all your actions

Jo2's new milestone

My little Jo2 is 11 months today, which means he will be 1 year old next month (yoo-hoo). I am still undecided whether to throw him a big 1st b'day party or just family party. Whether big or small party, the b'day boy is not going to enjoy eating any food (still no teeth, how to eat-le... ...) But, one thing for sure I promise that I will bring him out more often after he is ONE. So far, Jo2 only been to shopping complex for 2 times since birth coz mummy is afraid that he might caught viruses or germs from the crowd.

Here's the update of milestone reached by Jo2:
  1. Smile @ 1st week
  2. Roll over & lift up head and shoulders @ 4mths
  3. Solid food @ 6mths
  4. Sit and crawl @ 7mths
  5. Play with colourful shapes & block @ 8mths
  6. Walk without support & up staircase @ 10mths
  7. Leg down first instead of head from bed @ 10 1/2 mths
  8. Understand simple words and phrase & Wave bye bye @ 11mths
I will add more as Jo2 explore and learn his new skills.

Parenting Skills Workshop

Recently I like to attend workshop, seminars especially when they are related to chidren. I sign up for a parenting skills workshop (How to discipline your child) which lasts for 3 consecutive Sundays conducted by 3 professional psychiatric and pediatrician. The whole purpose of this workshop is to learn parenting skills and later we have to spread what we have learned, so I guess "blog" is the best way I share with other parents.
Here are the summary of what I learned last week:

1. Spend time - Spending time with kids is the most important thing of all, whether you play or talk with them. In, fact, toy can stimulate the child's brain to think even just a simple Lego

2. Praise & reward - Praise, praise, praise. Try to find something good about your child instead of criticize.

3. Set limits for discipline

4. Behavior

We watch a very short video clip during the session, and we as the parents will have to notice what is happening in the show and what is the right reaction.
