Play with your child

I have assignment this week from the parenting workshop I attended last Sunday. The home activites for the week is "How to play with your child" and "Promoting your child's self esteem and encouraging cooperation." Parents should play with your child at least 10-15 mins everyday, keep track of the play periods on a record sheets to record the child's response and parent's reaction.

So, few days passed, and I just started yesterday. (Sunday is just 2 days away from today what). I read bedtime story for Jo1, while I gave Jo2 some toys to distract him from disturbing Jo1 and me. Jo1 enjoyed the story... ...I swear I had never read any bed time story for her since birth (this is the first time), I just can't fit in, that's not my style, I guess. Normally, I will let her do colouring or writing (not really writes, probably scratch) on her own or watching TV, it's freedom.

Jo2, hyaiiii.....don't know what to say, he is not attracted to any toy, I bet you, not a single one. At home, I have tons of toys, no kidding, some are new and some are from my niece and nephew (FYI, Jo2 has 10 Cheh cheh and kor kor. He is the 11th grandson to my parents) The only thing he likes to play with is remote control (any type....whether car, gate, tv etc) and mobile phone. But, never cheat him on fake one, only real Nokia handphone of papa and mummy, but not Cheh Cheh's (Jo1) barbie's type.

Ok, back to the PLAY....bare on mind - praise and encourage your child's ideas and creativity; never critisize. And reward is important too!!!
